Support for Webcam source from Windows Virtual Camera or other virtual camera like Iriun, Droid Cam
First, thank you for building Rapidemo—it's a fantastic tool that’s made screen recording so much easier for me!
What I’m Suggesting
Please consider adding support for virtual webcam devices created by apps like Iriun, DroidCam, or Windows Phone Link. These apps let users stream video from their mobile devices to their PC, appearing as standard webcam sources in most software.
Why This Matters
Accessibility: Not everyone owns a high-end webcam. Many rely on their phone’s camera for better video quality.
Industry Standard: Most screen recording and video apps (OBS, Zoom, etc.) allow users to select these virtual webcams.
Flexibility: This would let users choose their best available camera—hardware or virtual—for recording.
Technical Note
Virtual webcams register as standard video input devices (e.g., via DirectShow on Windows, AVFoundation on macOS). If Rapidemo’s device picker could enumerate all system video capture sources—including virtual ones—it would greatly expand its usability.
Real-World Example
I often use my phone as a webcam through Windows Phone Link for sharper video from my Samsung Galaxy mobile, but Rapidemo doesn’t currently detect it. Adding this support would be a huge help!
